There are several better guns in that price range, Savage, Stevens, the new Ruger coming out, Tikka, Marlin X series, just damned near anything would be better. You can roll a turd in peanuts, dip it in chocolate, and it still ain't no damn Baby Ruth.

BuckeyeSpecial Campfire Member B Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 476	A guy from Alberta on www.predatormasters.com has been hammering the coyotes this winter with a Mossberg 4x4 in 25/06 and he likes his a lot for accuracy. Of course, he is just a hunter using his tool at -20 degrees F to get it done, looks are likely not as important as function to that fellow. A gun writer a while back also got good accuracy from the Mossberg in a 4-5 rifle comparison of economy centerfires...he liked its feel also, and called it the "biggest surprise" of the trial. I haven't fired one, but I would be interested in doing so.
