I have a 250-3000 sav.99EG. The lever boss is 24c, dipicting about 1949 or 1950. The receiver show 607XXX which compliments the lever boss. Here's where it gets interesting....On the end of the forearm, (not on the inside curvature) on the bottom of the butt stock and the inside of the butt plate they are all stamped BX16.. I've never seen or heard of that but was wondering if this wood it legit. I know they changed the numbering about that same time. Any help or do I own a 97% gun with non-original wood?? Thanks all
