I want to buy once, cry once. Looking for something in a .30 cal so I can use it on .223s and up.

Suggestions on where to buy would be appreciated as well.

If you buy from a dealer, make sure they have it in stock.

Cant go wrong with Yankee Hill for the money. Have a couple and they have lasted with many rounds of 223 shooting Pdogs. The 308 can is the best choice in my opinion even though I only use them on 223 and 6.8SPC rifles. Most class three dealers carry cans and do the transfers. Dont know your area though.
