I've hunted area 121 for the past two years cow/calf tag been successful both years. Several friends have hunted there for the past five or six years with fairly good results - several bulls and usually a cow every year. Access is limited. I assume that you have applied for a type 1 license. There is a resident herd that lives in the area, but the best hunting is weather dependant. Snowfall in the high country drives the elk down. This years hunt for bulls wasn't as good as in the past no snow and warm temps led to limited success. PM sent.
