This one was done by Alan Harton for me. Front sight is one of Jim Stroh's interchangables. Pretty slick arrangement, no screws to be seen.

I got tired of being beat up by the square trigger guard and a month or so ago had Gary Reeder in Flagstaff re- configure the trigger guard and add his gunfighter grip frame. A small set screw from the front holds the blade in. Same sight just on my 45 Colt.

What grips came on that one? Mine had factory S&W rubber grips, which I think are the old Hogues. Much tackier and softer than the Pachmayers on yours. Last edited by EthanEdwards; 05/16/12.

I really don't care for those grips. I like something with a back on it that moves my hand out a little further from the trigger, like the Pachmayers or the Compact grips on the Nightguard series.

Here is my "go for a hike" gun, a 3" 629-4. I switched out the cylinder release for the old style which I find much more attractive. It's the last gun my dad bought me before he passed away.
