Which brand would you go with. I have used DPMS with great results in a 223 but don't know much about any other makers. Is there any accuracy difference between the different makers DPMS Olympic etc. And will they handle shooting light bullets or will the heaviers be better? Using for deer and coyotes with coyotes the most. Thanks HAPPY HUNTING

Are you considering a .223 case necked up to hold .243 bullets or a .243 Win?

You'll need a full size AR-10 to run a .243 case. Armalite does sell them, as do others, possibly including DPMS.

Rock River arms sells a 243 upper that fits their LAR-8 frame. http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=529My brother has one on lay-a-way in the local shop. You buy the Predator frame and upper seperately, and it is as simple as that. The LAR-8 uses FAL mags nd RRA sends new mags with the upper.

You need to call it. I can't call it for you.

Thanks, I will look into that one. I can get both so will have to look into both pretty hard. I think the RRA will probably be the way to go as I think they are a better ar then the DPMS but I will look and do some research. HAPPY HUNTING

If you want the AR-15 Platform instead of the AR-10, then you need to go with the 243 WSSM
