Just got through enjoying Mule Deer's treatise on the .375 H&H in Rifle Magazine. As usual, a very well written and researched story for all to enjoy....

My favorite part? Your bolt gun is a Interarms Whitworth, just like mine. The cliche is confirmed....great minds think alike. Surely, yours wears a Conquest 1.8x5.5 scope!

You pukes are doing it to me again. Just when I thought I was over my 375 infatuation. Dang it, I don't need a freekin 375?! Please make the voices stop... eek

Waiting on mine to get back from the smith. Built on a P-14 action, but has had feeding issues. It is heavy, as JB stated in the article. Going to do a little stock slimming, maybe a half pound or so. A great read, as usual for JB.

Man I love the 375 H&H, you know about the only time I buy a magizine any more is when I find out there is a JB article in it I'd like to read. I'm done buying rifles for the year (got my purchases in early this year grin ) but on next year's list is a 223 and 375 H&H. This article will surely fan that fire.

10 % more kick for 22% more energy sounded like a good proposition. Inspired by the 416 Rigby and headspacing of the belted 375 HH magnum. Roy was disappointed with the original 375 Weatherby performance but he still killed an elephant with one shot in 1953. And then come the 338/378 the all purpose rifle that can kill anything that walks on legs, well maybe even swims.
Now we need a 338/375 HH magnum to balance the equation to take advantage of the great missiles being manufactured in .338 caliber.
Like I always said "Find a great bullet then wrap a rifle around it".
