The poor girl has all the luck.

She was parked at a convenience store and getting out of her car when a carload of severely mentally challenged young men came flying into the parking lot on the iciest day of 2012 pretending like they were going to braodside her car....

He hits the brakes as he's aimed for her....

And guess the [bleep] what?

Cars don't stop on glare ice, he did exactly what he was pretending to do, he hit her.

He actually hit her with a damn car. She was stuck in her own car door with his front bumper pinning the door shut.

She was trying to get out of her car when the retardedness occurred.

Police, ambulance, emergency room, xrays etc..

All the normal precautionary procedures for getting hit by a damn car.

No broken bones, very black & blue on both knees, ankle, lot of swelling and she's got quite the limp currently with the ankle/knee pain.

Her soft casted surgery arm was also slammed in the car door...

I haven't mentioned any of it because when I talk or think about it.... I develop a burning/flushed sensation in my neck and face and I feel adrenaline building up in my death and dismemberment devices (my arms).

So, I think we'll just leave it at that.

Wow that sucks....I did a lot of stupid stuff when i was that age but do not know if i would of done anything like that.....

I hope she gets better ASAP....

On a lighter note...

Some of you here may remember talk about a local car builder friend of ours that was building a 1937 lincoln zephyr.

Several chickenbuckers were fortunate enough to see the car partially finished at larry's after show garage party a couple of years ago.

Well I'm proud to say my friend was recently named winner of the 2011 MSRA street rod of the year.

Hence the retardedness.

That is truthfully what happened, they thought they were funny.

Very funny boys.

I can't even comprehend trying that. The mere thought of it doesn't register in my brain. If it did, I still think my parents would pull that thought phycially from my head. I do mean actually reach in through my eye socket and pull that though out or there.

I remember one time my older brother and his friend were going to "meet at the fish house".
As luck would have have it,we arrived at the same time from different directions.Me with my brother in a new chevy blazer,and the friend in a small nissan sedan.They both found out that glare ice is hard to stop on,as they collided head on in front of the fish house door.
This was on a small metro lake,with dozens of houses in close proximity,most of which emptied to see what all the noise was about.
I still bring it up from time to time.

Dave, I know nothing about street cars but what is something like that worth in ballpark sort of way? Never seen anything quite like it. It is an amazing piece of work for certain.
