I was browsing thru a local gun shop that I hardly ever stop at, and ran across a .32 caliber T/C Cherokee. I've been looking for one for years, so I snagged it. It's in great condition, almost perfect wood and metal, except for some rust on the muzzle and the very end of one barrel flat. The only issue is the trigger. The set trigger won't set. The front trigger works, but the pull is VERY heavy. Is there anything I can do myself to fix it? I haven't had a chance to take out the lock or give it a good cleaning yet. It is a beautiful little rifle though! Hope it shoots well.

Daddy, T/C will fix it for you free of charge. Got rid of my Cherokee .45 a number of years ago and have regretted it every day since. Glad you found one. Keep your eyes peeled to ebay and you can find .36 & .45 barrels for it. Goog luck.

I sold a 32 Cherokee years ago and have regretted it ever since. Hold on to that one, unless you want to sell it to me!
Have a good day man. In honor of personal freedom and the open squirrel season, I think I'll go put a hole through dinner's head.

might just have to break the gun down and check out the lock
could be something simple as a good cleaning to fix it and then readjust the set trigger screw
might be something that simple to fix it
the set screww adjustment directions on my tc renegade are pretty simple to follow in the owners manuel
i bet you could google it up on how it is done

Gratz on the Cherokee. They are way cool.
Back when I was rendezvousing in the '80s there was a teenage girl who used one, she did quite well against us manly men with out .45s and .50s.

TC lost tooling for the cherokess/senecas back when they had the fire a few years ago, and parts are of limited availability.
before just mailing in for service, check with them, otherwise you may end up wasting shipping expenses as they would be forced to offer you something entirely different if no parts are to be had with the TC consolidation & plant closing.
great rifles, and have been very happy with mine....light charges of pyrodex P with patched .310's make mine happy, and make squirrels nervous.

I sold the one I had to one of the members here a year of so ago. I never got around to checking with him to see if he had made use of it yet.
