Hello All,
Does anyone have a comparison matrix of the current Leupold line (VX1 - VX2 - VX3 - VX6). I can figure out weights of specific models, but I'm interested in glass, tube, focus, features....
Right now, there are so many choices out there, I cannot tell what the real differences are vs just changes in marketing names for coatings on glass etc... Now Leupold might like that, but as a consumer, I am having problems deciding.
Thanks!

I believe this applies to both the type of elevation/windage adjustments, as well as glass and coatings (someone correct me if I'm wrong):
VXI = Vari-XII VX1 = VXII = Vari-XIIIc VX2 = VXIII
I don't have a matrix listing all the specs and features, but there is my small contribution.

Not quite. The old VariXII's had single coatings like the Rifleman Series. Friction adjustments. The VX1 has/had multicoating on some, but not all lenses. The VXII and VX2's are/were fully multicoated. Click style adjustments. Some of the VariXIII's were single coated, but many or most were fully multicoated. Yes, they have changed alot. E

Hello All,
Does anyone have a comparison matrix of the current Leupold line (VX1 - VX2 - VX3 - VX6). You would need a friggin' flow chart....... Just be happy you're not trying to figure out the differences between Vari-X vs VX vs I vs II vs III vs 1 vs 2 vs 3......... Casey

Not being married to any particular political party sure makes it a lot easier to look at the world more objectively... Having said that, MAGA.

I have a hard time believing a vx1 is equal to a vari-x III . I do admit the adjustments are both click style and they do have multi coat IV, but what about quality of the glass itself and what about construction. Current vx1 in a comparable power range is half the $ of what a vari-x III cost . Soooo was Leupold throwing the hose to us on the vari-x III or did they somehow figure out how to make a comparable scope for half the money, or is there really a difference in build quality. Before some of you light me up, realize I'm just posting some thoughts and questions that have been floating around in my head.
Politicians and Diapers both need to be changed often, and for the same reason!

I agree Onehorn - may be marketing games IMO. Frustrating!
