With only two odd-ball guns left, here is a complete set of factory made No. 1 RSI's that many on another forum and one here help me put together. All that's left to my knowledge (which is limited and working slowly) is another 30-40 krag, which is a very small over run of the original 60 that were made. The other, being one of the two RSI employee service award guns that I'm aware of. 1885boomstick

Impressive! Three of those eight are not common, or easily found at all. These are the DACA RSI in .275 Rigby, the .303 British, and the RMEF in .30/40 Krag. The .300 RCM was only cataloged for a year or two; now discontinued. In the scheme of things; not many made. Good hunting on the other two. Many No. 1 Collectors set out to obtain all the calibers in a particular configuration; ie, the 1B, 1A, 1S, 1V, 1H, or RSI. It is not as easy as some might originally think! Because in every one of the models, there exist some very rare and uncommon calibers out there! The regularly and long cataloged calibers are the easiest. The hard part is trying to learn about what you don't know of; then trying to find it!

El'Numbero.... No more wiser words have been spoken...lol... The rare or uncommon come at a premium, because the folks who have them know what they have and don't let them go easily....
I'd hate to be the guy who was after one of the other configurations..... They've got another 16 years of production to deal with.... That right there is reason for pause and admiration to the ones that are doing it..

Very nice! I'm impressed.I like how you have them displayed. I wanted to do the same thing with my No.1's.

Very nice! Not only chambered for some unusual cartridges, but really nice looking wood & rifles there. Well done!
As I'm not much of a collector, I'd probably just keep that gorgeous .30-06 as a hunter, and sell the rest to finance a big hunt somewhere with it.

Wow... 1885Boomstick... You did REALLY good. The RSIs are my favorite rifles and you surely got 'em. The wood on your rifles is OUTSTANDING !~!~! And that receiver on your Krag looks beautiful as well. Ron T.

Nice looking wood there. Is the wood/metal fit and finish of better grade than the typical factory runs? While I love the lines of the #1's, I've not been too impressed with that aspect.

These are all factory rifles along with factory wood. The only difference at this point in time is I've swapped some better figured wood onto several of them over the past year or so and all have fit just the same (with the exception of a red pad stock that had a different contour at the pad than a black pad).
Thanks all for the compliments, I've had lots of unbelievable help from members of the Rugerforum and the last rifle, the 30-40 was worked out here through some trades and cash...
It's been fun and expensive to get to where I've gotten in such a short time, but it's worth-while for whom I've met and the opportunities they've given me.
I had planned to start scoping them with some weavers I had picked up at an auction, but just like anything else, plans change.
I've got a M8 3X, a Burris 20 mm. 1.5 and another M8 4x in route to start scoping them with. After I get the rest of the Weavers sold off, I'll get Leupold's custom shop to build me one of the new Big Bore scopes, only it will be tastefully finished in a brown instead of blue.
Should be fun...
Again, thanks all for the compliments.. It's been fun
