I have an 1895 303 with octagon barrel and a broken folding front sight. Can anyone identify this sight? I'd like to find a replacement.

There was more than one specific front sight on the 1895's from what I can tell. This one has been on quite a few that I have had though...!!!

Welcome to the fire! The folding front sight on my 1895 is a lyman 5B (the ivory bead) but any No 5 will work. They show up on ebay but they are not cheap as they fit numerous rifles. Normally go for north of $100, damn winchester collectors lol

+1 on welcome to the campfire!

Congrats on having an 1895! Would you mind sharing the serial number and barrel shape? They made round, octagon and half-octagon barrels.

I'd like to hear the serial number of this 1895.
