Yes. That is why I'm glad Hornady Interlocks are always there and always dependable. I like premium bullets, but know when I can't get them to shoot, these will get the job done. These are .308 bullets from my .30-06, 3-shot 100 yard groups. 180 SPs on the left and 165 BTSPs on the right.

Expat,
I wish I could Hornady's to shoot that good for me. It seems I can only get solid 1.25-1.5 inch groups. Granted they shoot those all the time, and the performance on game is just as dependable.

So far, none of my guns have liked VLD's.

Tried the 7mm E-tips, never did get them to shoot well either.

Just tried some Hornady GMX bullets on Saturday, and only one load shot less than 2". Back to the drawing board...

Never had a problem getting Ballistic Tips, or Sierra Blitzkings to shoot though.

60 grain .224 partitions and E Tips in 6mm and .277 were dogs. Have had great accuracy partitions in other calibers tough, especially from 7mm 140 grainers.

ETs and SSs have been a pain for me. I can see a bbl not liking a certain pill for sure, but when you run them in several rifles that digest darn near anything and they still wont shoot, it sure makes you scratch your head.

SSTs, Interbonds, and Bergers for me.

But then I don't feel the need to play around with loads and bullets just for something to do. Hard to go wrong with a 308 and Hot-Cors. Very low drama

My experience is similar to several others regarding Barnes Bullets. The TSX and the TTSX are hands down the best bullets I have ever tried and I have tried everything except Bergers. The old Barnes X bullet was difficult to get to group and terminal performace was not always reliable. The TTSX is the bullet I have always looked for. Getting them to shoot accurately is beyond easy. They are by far the most accurate bullet I have ever tried. Terminal performance is 100% reliable, and makes any cartidge it is used in just a bit more lethal IMO. Try em - - - you'll like em.

The factory loaded, 30'06, 180 gr. Throphy Bonded Tipped ammo that i tested in my custom mauser shot three into 3/4's of an inch at 100 yds..... That's almost as good as it ever gets for me. E

The two I've had the most trouble with are the Hot-Core Speers, and the Swift-A-Frames. The old Barnes X and XLC's were fussy but not near as hard to find passibly accurate loads as the above. Please note this did not apply to the Speer TNT's or the Swift Sciroccos.
I've never had much trouble with the old Nosler Partitions and none with either the new Partitions or the Ballistic Tips.
Ditto with the Barnes TSX's, or any of the Sierras or the Hornadys. That icludes the Interbonds. E

30 cal Accubonds in 150, 165 and 180gr. The 165's and 180's would shoot just well enough to suck me in and then go bonkers on me in 2 different 30-06's.
Tried 110 interbonds in a Bob and my 25-06. They stink.

110 Accubond has shot well for me in the same Bob and 25-06.

2 years ago I hated Partitions for accuracy.
I have 30 cal 165's and 180's shooting well in 2 30-06's
277 150PT shoots good in 2 270's
284 150PT shoots good in a 7-08
120 PT shoots good in my sons 25-06 and needs to be tested in mine.
284 160PT shoots good in my 7 Rem mag

Can't make the 140PT shoot in my 7-08 so I will try it in my 7 mag to see if it will handle them.

I'm not chasing Accubonds for now with Partitons and Ballistic Tips shooting well in most of my rifles.

I've found the following bullets to be finicky. They might shoot well in one rifle but not another or they shoot well with only one load of one powder.

100 grain 25 cal. Ballistic Tips.
22 caliber Speer varmint bullets.
7mm 160 grain Partitions.

The least picky, most accurate in any rifle, are Sierra bullets.

I tried firing some Speer 110s out of my 06. To this day I am not sure where they landed.

Many times one never knows what is going to work in a specific rifle. The 7mm 160 grain Nosler partition has shot well in 4 out of 5 7x57s I have owned.

120g TTSX were problematic in my 7mm RM. I tried several different powders before I found one that made them behave.

Maybe it isn't so much the bullets that are bitchy, but the people shooting them.

Bergers and Interbonds for me. My attention span is short, so if I don't find something pretty quick, I give up the chase and go back to something that will work.

Never had trouble with Partitions or Accubonds. I shoot a little heavier bullet than most, so maybe that's why? My 7 mags & 7 Wsm get fed 160 AB's. 7-08's get 140 Partitions. The .308 and 30-06 get 165 Partitions and the 25-06 gets 120 Partitions.

I had good luck with 117 gr hornadys in the 25-06 as well.

Shot some Sierra's in the 7 mag and the accuracy was excellent, but had 2 go to pieces in hogs.

Accuracy has been good with the Partitions and AB's. I'm sure I could find better shooting bullets, but their performance on game has been excellent.
