From Hornady...
Just picked up a box to test out over at Sportsman's Whorehouse the other day...
25 grain NTX ( lead free)...MV claims 2200 fps.. 1798 fps at 50 yds, and 1453 fps at 100 yds..
I have been reloading some of these lead free NTX bullets in 20 and 22 caliber and they have been very very accurate...
also have tried the 15.5 gr NTX in the 17 HMR with great accuracy... but then again, anyone had any 17 HMR ammo that wasn't real accurate...
accuracy in a 22 Mag is usually a lot more difficult to find..

I was just in our local mom and pop shop and heard the owner quote a price of $113 for a brick of 22 mags. At 1.5 to 2 cases a year on ground squirrels, I certainly could not afford to shoot a mag.

Reloading 22's is a dying art. I thought about it but....
Is the 22 Hornady stuff as hot the rest?

I just ordered 10 boxes of Armscorp 22 mag from Jerry's Sport Center for $5.98 per box. A friend shoots the 22 LR version and found it to be very accurate.

Huge difference in 22 Magnum ballistics, up to almost 1000 FPS, careful what you buy, for what reason.. Some is very comparable with 22LR, except the price. http://www.chuckhawks.com/rimfire_ballistics_table.htm

Is the 22 Hornady stuff as hot the rest? Are you talking .22 rimfire?
The major difference between belief and fact is those who believe something have come to a conclusion no facts will contradict. Well informed people are open to new facts that oppose their beliefs. That also defines an open and closed mind.

I'm tempted to buy a .22 Mag barrel for my CZ455, but everytime I think I want to, I realize that I can reload .22 Hornets for less money, and have better performance if I want it.
I haven't ruled it out yet, though.

I have a Taurus revolver that I'm needing to practice with but I've had trouble finding bulk .22WMR ammo. I'm not familiar with Jerry's Sport Center -- must not be any in my rural neck of the woods -- and haven't even found their web site. Anyone else have bulk .22Mag sources? Thanks. (Sold my .22Mag rifle when the .17HMR came out.)
