Had to make this up for a Texas fell'r here on 24hr.. A W1 Brut de Forge with some stabilized and pressure dyed Curly Maple. That pressure dying makes this stuff look like velvet! I love it. I also used some domed pins with "special" stainless steel washers I make to distribute pin stresses equally and not affect the handle material. He wanted it rough and nasty:

I love blades with a well defined hamon. Very nice. Clay tempered? Or oil?

Thanks Karl. I am pretty anxious for this knife to arrive. Even with my inability to describe exactly what I wanted, it looks like you hit the nail on the head. I'm looking forward to getting it bloody.
I just saw the video of the knife on your website. I am even more excited about it now!

I want to thank Karl for all of his efforts. I knew that I'd be impressed with the knife, his pictures almost come close to doing it justice. WHat I didn't expect was for the knife to arrive in a hand-made wooden box, in a nice, embroidered soft case, with a great sheath and Certificate of Authenticity. All of these little details are signs of someone that is proud of his work and certainly should be. Thanks Karl for a really cool knife and for ruining productivity here at the office on Friday.
