I hac trouble grouping the 53gr. Hornadys in my 223; most groups were 1 1/2" to 2". Emailed Hornady, their response was "...needs 1-in-12" twist."

after having problems with them in a one in 14 twist 22.250... Hornady let me know the same info, need faster twist... said they would perform great in a one in 10 or 1 in 9...
compared to the 52 gr A Max, there doesn't seem to me much length difference, but evidently enough to need a faster twist..
the 52 A Max, works fine in a 1 in 14 twist...

gotcha...I came to the same conclusion today when the best I could do was 1.5 at 200 yards.
My 25-06 surprised me with .9 at 200!
