Lockhart, I saw some headdresses on TV of some Alaskan Natives doing ceremonial dances and I wanted to make some. I looked at a good number of pictures and it doesn't seem that they are particular about what fur is used as I saw many different designs. One thing that you won't see on mine is the ornate beadwork that can go around the edge, as I'm NO beader!
So, to answer your question, no not really. This is just MY version and how I felt they could be created.

There is no beading except for the one bead at the end of the ties in the back. The rest is a ribbon.
