Anyone here had any expeience bedding a Model 43 Winchester? A friend of mine brought a Model 43 by after someone had worked on the barrel channel with a Demrel tool. Needless to say things went wrong and it needs fixed. With the way the barrel hold down/recoil lug is dovetailed into the barrel it would be very easy to get a mechanical lock and glue her into the stock. So if anyone has been down this road I would like to hear from them. Thanks in advance!

If you are talking about the mechanical lock being created by oozing into the recesses then all you need to do is even them out with modeling clay. Then use Hornady OneShot case lube as a release agent.
