I have seen the diamond willow used as walking sticks. Anything else intresting made with it? Anyone harvest the willow? Thanks.

I found this diamond willow driftwood & stuck it on my small lake deck

I made a knife grip out of it but gave the knife away. I do have an unfinished walking stick(not peeled or worked) that I used for years. It is in the shed somewhere I think.

It is the preferred wood around here to smoke traditional German summer sausage, especially moose sausage.

My dad used to make a switch with diamond willow, and whip me into shape every once in awhile. :-)

We would cut a forked section and use it for carrying our fish home from the beaver pond....
