Just curious how the winter has been in Alberta and Sask this year? Given the extremes we've been having meaning well above average 61* F here yesterday, and AK having one of the worst winters in a long time . How has it been in the middle so to say?

Very mild around here. We've seen a few light snow falls, but it's generally been very dry.

Warm and dry pretty much all winter in northern Alberta. Totally opposite to what The Farmers Almanac said we would have.

Well, we usually get about 150" here in SW Michigan and we've been given about 50" The snow capital of Michigan (Upper Peninsula) is at about half to one third the norm as well. Good news is that we've been getting enough rain to keep us out of drought conditions.

Its been a normal winter here North of Lake Superior--usual amount of snow. A little warmer than usual--only a couple of nights below -40 not weeks of it like some years.

Same here to the west of you. Enough snow and a little less minus 40 -- still enough of that for me....... must be getting older. wink

.

An hour and a half west of you and minimal snow. We have had quite a bit of -30 but only a couple days of -40. I hope we have a wet spring so the bush does not burn this summer. There is some beautiful country around Nipigon.

I don't always venture out into the sub-freezing darkness, but when I do, it is deer hunting season, and I carry a Remington. Stay hungry my friends.

Southern tier of NY State. The mildest winter I can remember, and I can remember nearly 70. Only shoveled snow twice and that was only a couple of inches.

Never seen such a mild winter in Southern Manitoba before! We had four days when the temp was around -40. Hardly any snow. Last year we experienced a "300 year flood event" and now...forecasts are for a drought later this year.

Pretty much winter as usual here, dry December and January, as usual making up for it, city water resevoir is overflowing, peach tree is in bloom, early flowers out, mowing the lawn today, should have mowed it 10 days ago but waiting for it to dry out.

Never really had any. We rely on winter snow for flood irrigation in this basin. It's going to be a dry year.

Alberta and Saskatchewan had mild winters like many other places. We just came back from a weekend building a new cabin on my buddy's trap line in NE Saskatchewan, snow was not deep, and the 5 moose that we saw were all in good shape. Spring thaw has just started here, the first goose was spotted yesterday.

I've got plenty of goose ,please come and get them if you like. Every ball field school yard and water front park has piles of goose turds a foot deep. They actually have a few guys here with border collies that get hired out by the school districts to come by every three hours to run the geese off.
