My project is getting closer, but...
I don't see loaded 450 Alaskan listed where it was when I started this, and I need provide cartridges to finish the project, and I am stuck now. Looking for a 400 grain bullet, for a M71 project.

Anyone got a place to point me?

I don't know of factory loaded 450 Alaskan (i use the .50 version) but you can find good datas in the old book published by Wolfe called Big Bore (article by Kornfeld)and some datas in a small publication by Wolfe too, called Legacy of Lever Guns. May be you can buy from their web site.

Guys like Scovill and Pierce from Rifle/Handloader could surely help you well on this subject.

Ah, the .450 Alaskan. Neat rifles, my bud had an original Harold Johnson conversion.


Shooting the .450 is like running into Dick Butkus with a hangover.
