I am looking at these two weapons. This will be my first black rifle. What are the pros and cons of each. I like the fact that the DPMS is lighter. Do both have good triggers? Are both quality rifles.

RR will have a better trigger and the Hogue grips. Some say that DPMS are not reliable and or accurate, but I have had 2-that would shoot 1" groups at a 100-yards with crappy triggger and never a jam.
Good Shooting!

Neither , Rock River Coyote
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

What is the difference between the Rock River coyote and the predator?

Barrels I believe. Weight. The predator has great accuracy reviews.
Id go coyote if youre moving and predator if youre sitting. I went with a 6.8 midlength and I absolutely love it.
Rock River makes a good gun.
Yup.

My Predator Pursuit is amazingly accurate from the box. I don't find the weight bad at all, as it helps me shoot better off-hand. I did opt for the National Match trigger, and I built it on a billet lower. It shoots several handloads at different weights really well.

The Rock River is a MUCH better gun. I own a LAR-8 Predator and it as extremely accurate and smooth as silk. Excellent trigger, air-gauged cyrogenic treated Stainless barrel, uses FAL metric or inch pattern mags [ALL PRE-BAN], winter trigger gaurd, free floated handgaurd, and LIFETIME warranty.
They also sell a 243 and 7-08 upper if you want to change things up. My LAR-8 Predator shoots British surplus FMJ ammo into MOA groups all day long.
I don't drink or Smoke. I spend my money on gunpowder and gasoline.

I have a RR PP. Very nice trigger, very accurate, very heavy! I love it for what it is, but it is not my walking around in deep snow gun. It is my drive it to the shooting location, unfold the Harris bipod legs, get proned out and hit stuff with ease a long ways out gun.

At 8.6 pounds with the 20" barrel, it's not too heavy and still makes it a viable hunting gun in any terrain.

Rock River-better trigger. Every DPMS I've every tried has had an scratchy, bad trigger.
