Does anyone know a free site to find gun values and years based on serial numbers? I cant find one and I find it hard to believe there isnt one out there.

You don't say what kind of guns your interest lies in... Most guns that are collectable, are listed in the Blue Book of Gun Values .
Many manufacturers never kept records, and, of course, serial numbers were not required before 1968. And in some cases, records were lost, or destroyed... either by intent or accident...
If one is enough of a rifle looney to care about serial #'s and values, then one should buy a copy of the BBoGV annually or at least semi-annually.
Hope this helps...

I know, I know I need to go buy a blue book gun value book. The thing is I am constantly picking up rifles, pistols and shotguns from garage sales, raffles, and gun shops. My collection covers a wide variety of arms. I was just trying to avoid buying a book or a subscription to a website. I am just trying to catalog some years and value were I can.
