Firstly, i should make it clear that my bum has strictly unidirectional function and i don't actually own a 7x57, but what 7x57s are folks shooting, rifle-wise?

I shoot a #1RSI, a #1A and a 77MKII. And yes I have killed critters with each of them.
Beware of thieves, scammers and dishonest members on the "Fire" classifieds. Ya there is a thief here too. Whatever!!
They're all around the CampFire and everywhere.

A nice little '09 Argentine that resides in a descent stick of walnut that our friend Karnis has worked his magic on.
Its an oldish custom with a Douglas barrel and Jaeger trigger, the 175 gn Speer grand slam is its bullet of choice.

My 7x57's are labeled .280 Rem (Ruger #1) and 7mm RM (Ruger M77)...
Coyote Hunter - NRA Patriot Life, NRA Whittington Center Life, GOA, DAD - and I VOTE!
No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.
A good .30-06 is a 99% solution.

It'd be a fun rifle, that's for sure. McMillan Compact Edge stock with the red Pachmayr pad. In fact, it'd be a long action twin to my South Carolina FWT 7/08. Either that or I'd just have it be another 30-06

Larry Root himself hasn't brought this forum as far into the chitter as a thread about 7x57's..
I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

Ruger M77 tang safety, in an ultralight stock...stamped .275 Rigby! I am adding another 7x57 on a 1909 action...take-down, with matching 6.5x57 barrel! And the action is CCH!

I shoot a 700 MR, topped with a 4x32 Conquest. I found her here at the fire, listed in this Hall of Fame Classified Ad by the late, Great, Timberline. There was no way I could resist. I've used her to fell a critter or two... And she doesn't shoot too badly, either. I was pretty happy when I shot this group, but I was positively giddy when I poked shots 6 & 7 into the center hole... I was worried if my POI was still OK after I got to AK. Cmg graciously checked it out on this ground squirrel at 75 yards... As we speak, the stock is with Karnis for an infusion of his magic. It may not be the most beautiful piece of wood out there, but she's got character by the truckload. FC
