Kenster sold me a marvelous Savage 99 in 30-30 last summer and it came with a Williams Receiver sight. My aging eyes really prefer a scope, so this sight has just been taking up room on my bench.

As is - just as it came off the gun. It doesn't have the aperture 'thingy' you screw into the sight so it has a 'big' aperture I guess!

I'd be happy to sell it for $25 To Your Door.

CRounds, was your Savage drilled and tapped for this sight? According to Williams web site the current model FP-99S will fit older 99's but drill/tapping will have to be done.

Youper, I don't really know. I looked at the Williams website and the only one that looked like it is the FP. There are no markings on the sight. How would I know if it's an FP or 5D?

The rifle dates to 1917 and the sight was mounted on it, so it must have been D&T at some point.

The FP is adjustable by the turning an adjustment screw. The 5D is adjusted by loosening lock screws, pushing the sight, and re-tightening. If it is an FP I'll take it.

Youper, if this is an FP and you still want it -- it's yours.

300jimmy - the others who said they would take it are offline. Let's wait until they see the photos and go in the order of "I'll Take Its".
Thanks!

C- I have been waiting to see who gets this. I think it is the sight Youper wanted but can't speak for him. I will take myself out of the bidding if you want to let him or Jimmy buy it. If they don't, pm me. Thanks, Bruce

I'd like to have it. I'll send a PM. Sorry about the delay, I went to camp this weekend.

No problem.

Sight is SPF.
Thanks!
