Have a friend who has 200 rounds of new 40-65 brass from the Bertram Bullet company, Victoria Australia. 20 rounds to a box, 10 boxes. He wants to get rid of them but has no idea how much they are worth. I am assuming you fine folks can help him set a price?

Thanks. TM

Hey, TM, how's it hangin'?

This brass is currently listed, $33.00 / 20 ,

Buffalo Arms latest Cat.......Link:

www.buffaloarms.com

That's pretty spendy, IMHO....the stuff formed from Rem, and Win.....................

$47 / 100 , and $48 / 100.............

Maybe the Aussies use a pinch of gold in there cartridge brass.

Cheers, GTC

40-65 Bertram for what was that 34.00 per 20? Thats around $170.00 per 100, Right? Now what do you get for that $170.00. Well you get 40-65 brass with a head stamp that reads 40-65. Now lets see here, Midway sells "45-70" brass for -- Remington $30.99 per 100 ---- abd 500 cases for $148.99 ---- Stairline per 100 @ $34.99 and 500 for $150.99 ------- And Winchester for $31.00 per 100 and 500 for $159.99. Then to get these formed to 40-65 all you do is run them thru a 40-65 sizing die takes two pass's and then you trim to length. This way you get the correct length 40-65 brass something none of the manufgacturers seem to do and the only draw back is the head stamp.

While I am a 45 caliber shooter once the scope class got to going I decided to build myself a scope gun. Since I am a right handed person forced to shoot left handed. i wanted a long eye relief scope. This narrows all of the choices down to one RHO scopes are the only long eye relief scope available to us BPCR shooters. The RHO scope does not use a Pope style rail and freely move under recoil, it is a fixed scope. I then decided that maybe 40-65 would be better in the scope class because of the reduced recoil on the scope. I ordered 500 Stairline 40-65 cases to start with, these where without a doubt the sorriest brass I have ever owned. I use some of there 45-70 brass and it is fine but the 40-65 brass was just terriable. It was over .005 to short, had a huge bulge right above the rim, ( all of them not just one or two) and the capacity was over three grains less than my other reformed WW brass. Since that day i order all 45-70 brass for the 40-65 and form it to 40-65. Much easier and the quality "NOW" is good for the matches.

How's about $60 plus shipping. That should be half price. TM
