Hello Fellas,

Update on the X39mm Upper build...Great news, the accuracy and functioning were top notch ! I could not be
happier. All the parts went smooth with the build, glad I purchased it for my son...

The ammo used was Winchester 123 gr. FMJBT Target loads ($17.99 @ Gander Mtn., picked up the last three boxes left).
The Winchester is great ammo, if not a bit underpowered though...the accuracy was superb, even though the wind was
pretty high and my shooting rest was not very stable. Had I had a stable rest, I could have easily produced sub one Inch
groups @ 100 yards. The Simmons Whitetail Classic 6.5-20x44mm was doing it's job wonderfully.

Functioning was perfect with the Winchester ammo...I tried some Russian Silver Bear steel cased ammo and since I did NOT
do any mods to the hammer spring or firing pin, I had to double strike the ammo to get it to fire the very hard Russian
military primers...

Velocity with the Winchester 123gr. ammo was a bit underpowered. it averaged between 2,248fps. to 2,298fps of the
18" SS barrel...when I shot the Russian ammo out of the AR it averaged around 2,358 fps.

Here is a HD video clip below.

The target above shows the Initial group fired from the lower right (fist shot) then counter-clockwise
towards the center ring.

I did get a chance before the weather turned to crap (again) to run some 6.5mm PCC rounds consisting of
95gr. Hornady V-Max and some Lapua 144gr. FMJBT's. The V-Maxes were clocking an average 2,659 fps.
and the Lapua's were doing around 2,248 fps. all using new non-fireformed brass.
