What is the campfire becoming, I mean seriously it used to be a place where people could talk about hunting, fishing, and guns and never curse or argue. Now people come on the campfire just to argue. There are too many people cursing, and arguing about things that don't need to be argued about. Thats all that I have to say, thanks for taking the time to read this. Election year Pfff...

I'm late to this thread, but I would venture that if the "Hunter's Campfire" was down the page a ways, the atmosphere here would seem different. We'd be giving the hunting, fishing, shooting topics more priority. Steve.

And it's not unreasonable to assume that he was reading posts on his folks' computer for a long time before he decided to join-in on his own. What better reason to join us in his own right than to chide us for the 'fire's moral decline? I've been here longer than all but a very few of the present crowd, and I share the young man's well founded chagrin. He's right on, and we older folks should be ashamed of the way that we've been behaving here.
