I don't hit the woods for spring bear until the last week, here near kalispell.To much snow where I like to hunt them.

Seems like I started seeing them pretty regular about first week of May. Saw a track a couple days ago while shed hunting. Should be sooner this year with winter being what it was.
One of my most favorite times to hit the woods. Shed hunt and bear hunt.

As per usual boys think May 13th, that's the Golden time. And I know there'll be some bruins spotted pre that date and some taken pre that date. But, year in and year out with the exceptions of a couple places in the state there won't be much happening till we get into May.
Doesn't mean my better half and I won't be taking the rifle for walks but there won't be much going on till then.
