I'm surprised no one has found a kid who would love to have that? re fostelogies takticool gun... I just jumped into this thread, didnt read it all. AWESOME concept guys. Your generosity is refreshing. Is there an age limit on this? I have a former student/Eagle scout and overall great kid I am thinking of, senior in HS, and is a staunch principled conservative minded young man in an area where being one is not always easy. He is headed to college next year (finds out this week if/which etc) Anyway, is this outside the parameters of the thread? I'd cover transfer fees and will supply bino, knife, etc for the pack.
Quit giving in inch by inch then looking back to lament the mile behind ya and wonder how to preserve those few feet left in front of ya. They'll never stop until they're stopped. That's a fact.

Ditto! My son has an airsoft gun that looks just like that.

For real! It's funny, I was just thinking this morning that there has to be someone who would get a real kick out of a fun .22 like that.

I saw a movie where only the military and the police had guns. It was called Schindler's List.

thinking out loud here folks...
I think this would be a 24 hour campfire mega cool thing to do..
our Veteran Number One, Matt whom we are doing the 35 Whelen rifle build for... has a son he sent me a picture of.. and I think he posted on line here...think the young man is about 12..
since we are doing a rifle build for Dad being a vet.. I nominate that we consider his 12 year old son as recipient for FOsterologies available 22...
a deserving Father/Son deal would be a cool 24 hour campfire thing to do...
wadda ya think?

I think it sounds like an *awesome* idea!

Many years ago (more than I'd like to count!) I was an Army brat, and eventually joined the Army and served several years myself. I know all to well the sacrifice a soldier AND his/her family endures for our country's safety and freedom...
Nominating Matt's 12yo son for the tacticool .22lr sits extremely well with me.

Well, FOsteology, you're the man who's making the decision--sounds like a done deal!

Sounds as though Matt's young lad gets a very nice .22 to call his own. Very cool that Matt himself is buying James his rifle too!
The press, the other reloading stuff, the spotter and the tripod will be on their way to James soon.

What an awesome way to show support for our guys in uniform, Seafire and FOsteology--good on you. And thanks for the update, nsaqam...(James is going to be really excited, and I'm looking forward to helping him learn how to reload!)

While my son would be beyond ecstatic to have that Sig 522, and I thank you to all who suggested it, I think we missed a prior nomination. I'd hate to take it from another deserving youth. re fostelogies takticool gun...

Up to FOst but I'd vote for a younger kid myself.
No offense intended to Crockettnj or his nomination.

Not to slight to Crockettnj's nomination by any means, however, I think the SigSauer .22lr bequeathed to a younger lad is in order.
Matt, please send me a PM as I'll need your FFL holder to either send me a copy of his/her FFL license OR the first three and last five digits of their FFL in order to verify via ATF's online eZcheck system.
Tell your young son congratulations, and the campfire look forward to seeing him put the tactikool rifle to fun (and responsible!) use.
