Who has a good site for finding the new car prices, to begin my "negotiations" on a new Tacoma?
Thanks!

Edmunds.com has a true market value pricing tool that has been pretty close for the last few autos that I have purchased.

Yep, checked Edmunds, and found it useful.
Wondering about others for comparison?
Thanks!

Edmunds, et. al., will get you in the ballpark.
Your best deal will come from fightingchance.com. You don't have to buy their package, just use their bidding tactics. I found it to be far & away the easiest way to buy a car, and I got a deal that made other dealers cuss out loud when I asked if they'd match it.
It' more common sense, than anything, but it's not what most folks are used to doing.
Good Luck,

Go to Consumers Report. They have a report that is awesome! It gives true dealer costs, incentives, and dealer hold-backs. Be sure to start with dealer cost, minus incentives, minus the hold-back, then add a "reasonable" profit for the dealer. In my opinion, and it has worked on every car I have purchased, $200 - $500 in profit is reasonable depending on the car.

Negotiations based on the "real price" are fine, IF a dealer will go for any of 'em? Even in this market, some won't budge much, unless they're nearing a "quota period" or some other incentive?
Might be different in some markets, not much happening around here. I took a 2012 rig out for a test drive a few weeks ago and went through the process, just to find out what a deal they could offer. Pretty much gave me about what I'd figured on for my 2010 (roughly KBB price + a bit) and knocked a coupla thou off'n the sticker hocus-pocus.
Bottom line, my payment for the new truck would've been close to a hundred bucks a month more than my current payment and @ 3.4%. They were happy with it, until I told 'em I wouldn't pay that much more. Said I'd go maybe $60 per month higher and they got all wound up, said was the best deal they could offer.
I responded that they were the ones wanting to sell the new truck, so it was up to them, if they didn't wanta try any harder than that? Said 'bye.
Got $7K off'n sticker on the new 2010 (bought in the spring, like now), so $2K off wasn't cutting it with me. Would've been happy to have driven off the lot with the 2012, for another $60 per month.
If three or more people think you're a dimwit, chances are at least one of them is right.
