Need help, new gun, sighted in and about 2 out of ten shells do not fire. I can see where striker hit the rim of the shells but suspect either is hanging up or needs to be adjusted? Tried different shells, different grains etc. Same issue. What do you suggest? The shells that don't fire don't appear to be too much lighter of a strike. Almost seems it needs to hit just a hair harder.

Contact the place you bought it or Savage. I've never had that problem with either of mine or ever heard of such a problem

I had the same problem with the same rifle. Eventually sent it back to Savage. They fixed it -- at the time it sounded like it was/is a common problem.
