Yesterday I shot at two with my 17 HM2, the breeze was up pretty good and I missed the first (I think) got the second and could tell it was a hit but he made it to his hole. Judging by the piece of liver on the top of the rock he is toast, but I didn't count him because I couldn't verify a body.
After those "misses" I shot three shots at a target I have out at the 70 yards those rocks I was shooting at were and could see the windage compensation I needed, it was a couple of inches.
Today... one sitting quite a bit further (110 according to rangefinder) I held two inches high and five or six over, made the sweetest center shoulder shot with him sitting sideways you could ever ask for. Just a couple of kicks and twitches and he was down for the count.
I took pictures of the distance and one of him I'll post when I figure out the picture thing.
Silly to get jazzed about that, but hey.
I would have done it with the 243 but I went to the range first thing in the morning and shot the one box of 100's and two boxes of 55's I had. The 100's don't shoot worth a damn, but the 55's are nice.
