These workhorses of the rifle world often get banished to the back of the gun safe. It's time to dig out that old gun and show it off! Feel free to post rifles, shotguns, trophy pics, and groups. No rifle is too plain, old, or bubba'd up. I'll try to post mine if I can find a working camera...

i set up a pair of handi's for trail guns that we drag along when fishing, strap to the 4-wheeler, truck gun use, etc....kinda nice not having to worry about treating something harshly.

both are nickel finished, tupperware stocked, and i put Williams ghost ring peeps & fiber-op front beads on both, as i dont care for high mounted scopes. one of them is in 30-30, the other is a .357mag. have the spare 20ga nickel barrels for them as well.

brother in law busted this unfriendly snake with the .357 while we were crappie fishing at my pond last year.

Fyrepowrx, that nickle on black sure looks sharp! Thinkin' about gettin' a syn for my .223, that way, since I can't get a "black rifle" at least I can have a rifle/that/is/black!

I like the 30-30 Topper barrels that I mated an SB2 action to. But I have others as well.

I have been putting break action lugs on barrels lately.
One with 1 1/4" water pipe as a test fixture for pistol barrels.
One as a 50CB short.

[Linked Image]

I got an H&R lower for $50 at a gun show 3 weeks ago.
I am going to put a lug on a barrel for that.

I filled some 45/70 cases with steel to compress 1 gr of powder. It will push a 150 gr at 400 fps with the sound of a BB gun. It kills raccoons in 2 seconds with body shots from the side, but will not go through the shoulder from the front.
