Second part of the dove season opened yesterday.
Got up early yesterday and drove to a public dove field. Got there just at legal shooting light and was the only person in the field so I did a little jump shooting and got two. Went and got a good place to wait on birds to fly in and after about an hour two come over and I knock one down. By that time there were about 10 people in the field so what happens? You guessed it. Two of them come up and stand next to me. One of them so close I can hardly swing the gun.
Doesn't matter, the birds are not really flying so I leave and go walking through other fields just jump shooting birds and wind up with seven by the time I am ready to go home.
Today I set out the Rem 11-87 20 ga. to clean it while I watch the Alabama LSU game. Somewhere after I finished shooting yesterday the bolt operating handle is now missing. How irritating. Now I have to spend $3.00 for a new one
