On the way home from deer hunting I came across 3 bull moose. I managed to call 2 out onto the trail and took these pic's through my spotting scope with my digital camera. Hope you enjoy them...

VERY nice! That first one especially.

That's my favorite pic too. I've got a whole bunch more (with the "halo" effect)...kinda thought they'd make a neat Christmas card or something...

Yeah, add my big 'thumbs up' for that first pic.

Very nicely done. Like the 1st pic also. What is considered a legal bull in B.C. for residents/nonresidents?

Most of the province is under a "spike/fork" antler restriction meaning no more than 2 points on one side, or "tri-palm" which is at least 3 points on one brow palm. (it's hard to see, but both of the bulls in the pic's are tri-palm) Around my local area, the season opens Aug 15 with any-bull open until Sept 1, in which the spike/fork & tri-palm restrictions come into effect until the season closes Oct 31. Along with "tri-palm", mature bulls with at least 10 points on one side are also considered legal. Also, LEH draws for some areas allow the harvest of any bull. And then there are LEH draws for calf moose. These hunts are restricted to young hunters aged 16yrs and under. Not confusing at all is it...lol
