Well let's see, build them in Messico where I have to pay an assembly line worker what his job is actually worth, or have to pay inflated wages here because of the unions and not have to charge 100K for that F-250. Bought some Ford stock when it was at five bucks. Only reason I'm not buying an Expedition is I dont like the looks.

POS re-pub-low-craps have made some pretty poor choices in the trade deals they had to make serving there corporate masters for a higher stock price. dave What a d bag you are. Amazing a Obama ball kicker can claim to be pro gun we can expect to see Union thugs beating up senior citizens at TEA Party rallies this Summer again.

Just who, pray tell, was going to loan the money to GM to reconstitute? The banks surely weren't as they were in crisis themselves and were not of a lending mindset, still aren't for that matter. The private equity firms? The Chinese government? Europe?

Yeah it's bad if we buy "Ricers" made in Texas but ok when he buys those overpriced scopes made by "Krauters"...

Democrat John Corzine lauded by both Obama and Biden as an Economic genius.
The rich corporate Dems keep ripping off the middle class and the idiots blame the other party.
REAL unemployment is close to 20 per cent and OBAMA and Dems own this.

Good to see the campfire regulars here continuing to talk about how it all should have been back in the day. You just can't seem to articulate what your goals are for the future, but I guess that's understandable given your age and condition.

Thuggery is not the sole province of any group or Party.
Plenty of anti-union thuggery in our history as well.

Unemployment numbers during the depression were above 20%. They're over 20% here now. The media wasn't controlled by the communist party back then.

Every person with any knowledge about free trade agreements knows full well that it was, and is, a darling of the Republican Party whether they care to admit it or not. "That giant sucking sound you hear will be your job going to Mexico." Ross Perot My dad as a kid had worked for several years haying selling candie and newspapers and had scraped up 26 dollars which he had in bank in Ridgeway.Pa. Then October 29th 1929. Three years later he managed to get 8 dollars back from the bank. Its all he ever got back. He never trusted banks or bankers after that. SO banking is just a business, Right? I mean, if your in banking, you choose to be in banking. And the gov should never interfere with say a FDIC or anything to guarantee your deposite. So the banker dont run off with a hot babe or just mismanage himself out of business with your money. But after the depression the gov. stepped in and guarantees your deposits. They guarantee your deposits with my tax dollars. Is that ok.? You dogooders would be screaming like little [bleep] if it was your money in the account. And you only got 8 dollars back. dave

Plenty of anti-union thuggery in our history as well. If you go back to the Founding we are in agreement. That said, show me an example comparable to recent events where the Republicans, Independents, Libertarians, etc., demonstrated the same type of criminal, felonious behavior that has been prevalent in union history during the past and current century. That is not to say ALL union members are thugs and not by a long shot, in fact the Union I have to deal with is fairly up front and reasonable but what went on in Wisconsin and of course what goes on a regular basis with the likes of the UAW, AIM etc is downright despicable

In the first half of the 20th Century anti-union violence was very prevalent with workers killed and wounded. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-union_violence

Not to mention other acts of violence in our very recent past perpetrated by individuals opposed to say abortion and such. Can't say that those perps were Republicans or not but most if not all have self identified as evangelicals or otherwise religiously motivated.

Can't justify that either by any stretch, but there is no proof they did it for the "party" if indeed they belonged to the Repubs, whereas what's happening today IS on behalf of said unions. Sorry but not the same

Look at the website "Ethics in Government". see: http://thereaganyears.tripod.com/sleazefactor.htmSleaze, corruption, lying, bribery, etc. know no political allegiance. Both and all parties have their guilty incidents. Always have and always will.

Sure, if it involves politicians unions and GS employees what else can you expect, but I see the obvious deflection from the topic at hand.

You've never worked a day in your life for the private sector yet you have intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the UAW....
