Nyalubwe,

I'll hoist a Viking sized glass of Cavaldos (non-taxes, of course) in his honor. Best wishes to your family.

Gentlemen, I thank you all again for the kind words. About all I can do is relate one little story....My wife was the oldest child, and my FIL thinking he would never have a son, hauled her all over the woods, streams and mountains of Montana. Pack trips into the Bob, trout fishing galore, deer and elk hunting. He gave her the .257 Roberts she still uses today when she was a teenager.
When we were dating, I took her creek fishing with me for the first time and couldnt help but noticed how well she handled a rod, took directions and seemed to instinctively read the water.Indeed it was a major factor in my decision making about her as wife material wink
I told her on the spot that when we got back to town I was gonna kiss her father right on the mouth! laugh
She asked " Why?"

" Cause he taught you the right way..."

He will be missed....horribly....

And I have no doubt in my mind she has taught you a thing or two over the years too.

Just saw this - my deepest condolences to you, your wife and your whole family.

Losing someone whom you clearly held in such high regard must be extraordinarily painful. Being able to see his influence every time you watch your beloved cast a line or fire a weapon must be extraordinarily wonderful.

Here's to him and all like him.
