Hello, recently I was given an old gun, what looks like a 68-72 caliber old school shot gun, the barrel is rifled and it has a hammer and nipple firing mech. There are no markings on it besides an 81 or a b1 on the barrel top, and what looks to be like an A1 or A7. under the barrel it looks like someone carved "xxx 16 xxx 6" into it.( 16 and 6 were imprinted, the x's were carved into it) Theres what looks to be a star imprinted right above that. it has saddle rings, and looks to be very old, and possibly valuable. Please help ID, I have no idea what it may be.Any ideas?
