Idahjo,
Well, it is kind of a long story, but while my pan lubed bullets are hardening, here goes
I got lucky & placed well enough to get on the U.S. team for the World Histoical Long Range match upcoming in Cape Town this coming April. That match requires a rifle to weigh no more than 13#s. To get my 34" bbl. Pedersoli Quigley to qualify (14#s) I had to strip off every non-functioning piece of metal including the butt plate. It looked pretty ugly-will try to post a photo (somewhat computer challenged). Thinking that I would like to have a similar rifle, but meeting the international rule, I noticed Pedersoli's S.788 model Sharps on their web site that looked to fit the bill. But, what else I noticed, was that Mr. Pedersoil offers a rifle as a prize to anyone winning a National match. So, since I got lucky & won the first day Mid Range agg. at Raton this summer, I asked him for that rifle. As an asside, I believe that their intention was for someone to win a National Championship with one- but it said match, so I asked & Lo & behold they are sending one! : Well, I told you it was a long story! ..Dennis
Tried to send the photo as attachment, but won't go
