A friend who is now in his mid-70s asked me to sell his Winchester Model 94 in 38/55. It looks to be in remarkable shape. It has a 26" octagonal barrel, full-length magazine tube, crescent steel buttplate, and buckhorn sights. It has a small wood insert of a pine tree inlet into the forend underneath from some craftsman of the past. The serial number puts it at a 1903 build date, but the bluing and wood finish is in great shape. Does anyone know what this rifle should sell for?

W/o the pine tree - maybe $2k from what you describe. Maybe more. With the pine tree.... $1200-1500.

No expert here but I've been pricing levers a bit recently.
