My oldest daughter (21, finishing up her jr. year of art school) landed a cushy internship at Adobe Systems for the summer. Not only does she get work experience, she gets paid rather well for an intern - plus some great benefits. As a graphic designer myself, I can be pretty jaded, but her work continues to impress me. I'm not saying that because I'm her father - she's that good - way better than I ever hope to be. And she's a good kid to boot - both my girls are and we're so proud of them both.

I was a graphic arts designer and technical illustrator, good career, nice people in general. I was in military defense oriented manuals and tech publications for years but branched into advertising and promotion work with airbrush.
I'd be proud of her too.
The major difference between belief and fact is those who believe something have come to a conclusion no facts will contradict. Well informed people are open to new facts that oppose their beliefs. That also defines an open and closed mind.

Pix--great to hear that she got the internship and is being paid as well, good luck to her. My daughter just finished up her paid internship in accounting at Price Waterhouse Coopers in NYC, she now has a full time job when she graduates next year.
