Oh man! Really too bad you couldn`t make the righty action work for you. If I didn`t already have a 300 WSM Ruger Frontier, I`d jump on it.
The power of an `06 from a handy shorty compact. Not a rifle for the more timid, but what fun they are.
Someone will grab that little powerhouse.
Good luck.

All is not lost! As a suggestion, here`s what you do.
Go on the Ruger site and look at the Ruger RCMs with 20" barrels. Got them listed there for the lefties in the 300 RCM.
A little longer than the 35.5" Ruger compact you wish to sell. A rifle with barrel 3.5" longer with a just a few more inches of OAL will still work wonderfully in the field.
And to be a little more creative? Later on you can always cut that 20" barrel down to 16.5" while having that lefty action you need.

I'm in the same boat. Loved that stainless compact, but had to get a righty. In my case, a .260. But that serves a dual purpose, as I'm hoping it can be a kids gun some day.
Not sure what Ruger's logic is. They make just enough in LH to get us to buy, but they won't make their whole line.

Your caps lock key seems to be stuck.

Last I looked there were 5 of the Ruger left hand stainless .308's on Gunbroker. However, Davidson's had 17 last week, and sold them all within 20 hours, so I'm sure we will still see a few pop up here and there. I had even though about getting one and swapping barrels with a caliber I would want (308 is about the only short cartridge I wouldn't want).

Bugger...wasn't keeping up with current topics. Do you still have this rifle? I've been looking for the right deal on a shorty, stainless, compact magnum Ruger (either 300WSM or 300RCM) and this sounds like IT!
Let me know, -Joe
