My SIL only saw hens yesterday.
Talked with my grandson last night. He along with mom and dad spent Saturday shooting a 40 target 3-D archery course. The little guy is really getting good with a bow.

I've been building them rail roads for two years, so I guess they figured I should go to school and learn it for real now.

Sitting in the room with dad as he is getting his first chemo treatment. He says he feels good. He has been giving the RN grief so that is good also.
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

ND and family and all my chickenbuck friends, I had my first chemo today, everthing went excellant no side ef fects yet.  Tzone How the hell can I pinch the nurse in the butt when the wife and daughter are sitting there watching everthing I do!!  (ya but he looked pretty happy when him and the nurse came back from the bathroom, who knows what happened in there)

I'm officially on vacation. Only for a few days, but I'll take what I can get.
Hopefully a turkey will be lovesick enough to come into my sweet nothings.
I have a few spots to try....The Buick field (used to have an old Oldsmobile in it), Roosting Ridge, Oak Ridge, Da Orchard, The Garden. Somewhere they'll pop out, it is usually where I'm not.

It's fun. For pure hunting aspect, I like turkey hunting better than deer hunting. I enjoy deer camp much more though.
I got the tackle and gear loaded into the boat. I still have to put the rods in. I may move the battery charger too. We'll see how much time I get.

Pretty good day in the bush. I saw 13 turkeys, two were legal. This morning I had a Jake and a gobbler come in with 5 hens. The Jake was possibly close enough to shoot bit I wasn't going to with the Tom in the field. The Tom never came close than 60-70 yards.
The Tom was kinda goofy looking. Big bird, 10-12" beard, but it was about as thick as a pencil.

Well another afternoon to watch RWS RUN, better bring my blanket along on this one though. It's gonna be a chilly one!! The meet on Tuesday hosted 8 teams. RWS overall placed 2nd in the 100, 4th in the 200, 2nd in 4x100 relay, and 8th in long jump!! Not too shabby. ND, PWM, CLB and I had alot of fun watching the boy run. So track meet tonight, prom preparations tomorrow and prom tomorrow night for Cries Like Baby. Somewhere in all this chaos I should help work on that car too. Weekends just aren't long enough, I'm already tired and it hasn't even started yet. Have a good one everybody!
