Booked with an outfitter in Macon, MO, for the first 3 days of muzzleloader season. Looking forward to getting the Omega bloody again...
Anyone hunt near that area?

I'm from Missouri. Hunted up around Kirksville a few years back. You picked the right county, who's the Outfitter.....

Been hunting Missouri for....54 years now. Good area. As Harv said, you picked the right county. Much bigger deer there than in the Ozarks, has something to do with groceries...lol, but the country isn't as pretty IMO. I hope you enjoy it and take home a whopper!!!

Harvdog, I'm going with IMB Outfitters. Will be my third time with them, each time someone else has taken a buck, so I'm hoping this will be my turn!

Ohhhh...Hope ya kill a bign, sounds like your due!! I hunted with IMB in Pike Co Illinois once on my first and only Outfitted hunt to date. I personally will go elsewhere if I for whatever reason decide to go on another outfitted whitetail hunt.
Sounds like your happy and that's awesome, good luck to ya this year.

IMB are crooks. I hunted in that camp in MO. Be sure you tell that scumbag not to put you on the 10 acre parcels surrounded by unleased land. I can't believe your going back for the third time.

OK, I have an open invite on a pretty large chunk of private. Just hoping it coincides with my time off in December so I can go this year! Monroe and Audrain counties I believe.

dennis, last year, if they leave it the same this year and who knows the way MDC has been jerking ML season around, ML season opened a week+ after the regular firearms season closes. If I were betting I would say the regular season will open the 10th or the 17 of November. Then ML season should open the 1st or 7th of December. Oh...just an FYI..I don't know how Mo. can call it ML season any longer. This year centerfire handguns are allowed. I wonder what genius thought that up? Monroe and Audrain should have good numbers of pretty good sized deer. That's definitely row crop country.

They didn't kill anything under 150 on their farms last year. They said they are 'saving' a 14 point for me! Not sure what a 14 pt is as we go by one side and don't count the eye guards here. Never seen a 12 pt even!! Anyway, if it pans out, I just hope to shoot a respectable buck as I have never shot a whitetail before (discounting our little coues deer).

ML season will open on Dec 15 this year I believe.
Mr. Bradley himself is supposed to be in camp during my stay, so we'll see how things go...

Can you really call it a "camp" if you can order pizza delivery if you want to?

I hope your hunt goes better than mine did with IMB.I dont have anything but negative things to say about Darren Bradley and his outfit. As far as im concerned the man should be run out of business.Hes as crooked as they come.I should go into the day by day details of my hunt but I better not cuz I need to try and keep my blood pressure in check.

IMB Outphuckers are a joke and I live fairly close to some of their leases. We locals around here have a standing joke about them, but not proper to post in public forum.
You must just enjoy them getting your money.

MO has posted that firearm season will open on the 10th of Nov but have not set a close date yet... my guess it will go just like the last few and then a week off before ML starts.
