Maybe 1/8 or none , some question on my grandmothers lineage. Kinda where I am. It is thought that my Great Grandmother was a full blood Cherokee, but it was not popular back then, so it was not talked about much. Her pictures sure look like it could be true. miles

Only recently did it become fashionable and economically rewarding to be Indian. Now there are more cherokees than horses in the USofA. Everyone wants to be a indian now.

My father's father was the product of a 16 year old Comanche girl and "an unknown white man,thought to be from Missouri" according to the records at the Indian school at Decatur Tx.where he was enrolled at the age of 12. That makes me 1/8 on that side.The other side has some Cherokee blood,but it was not documented. No,I've claimed no gov't goodies,and yes, we tried to keep the Missouri line of our heritage secret!

Both of my great grandmothers on my Dad's side were full Cherokee..you wouldn't know it to look at me though
