Hmm, lemme think ?
Last season, an antelope doe at 550 with a 257 Roberts and an 80 grain ttsx.
Also a cow elk at 313, with the 280ai combo.
Ahhh ? A cow elk at 700, with a 338 rum, another cow elk at 762, with a 300 rum...
Nope, I am not sure I can hit anything..

How should I get it processed ? Steaks, chops, burger, etc ?

My oryx fell to my 7x57 with a 140 gr AB at 150 yards or so. In tucked just under the near shoulder and out behind the off one. Stood for a bit as if not hit, then fell over. Big old bull.

Mine was made into steaks, ground, smoked jalapeno/cheese sausage and a bit of breakfast sausage and it is all fantastic.

Splat----You should a booklet from the DOW. It shows where to aim. They have a black racing strip up the side. Follow the top of it to the shoulder & place it on the shoulder. African animals have their heart a little more forward than our NA critters.

I killed mine with a 140 berger in a 6.5MM and a friend of mine killed his with a 140 AB in a 7-08. I think you'll be fine.
