I want a new case trimmer. I've been looking at the Wilson but I hear a lot of good things about the Forster.
What would you pick if you were upgrading to a new case trimmer ?

I've tried a lot of different trimmers and the one I keep using is the cheap ass Lee Trimmer.

The Wilson with a mic and stand is a nice set-up. It will rust if you don't take care of it.

I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

I have used an RCBS for years until I got set up with the Lee system. I have not used the RCBS in quite a while.

I hate ALL case trimmers, but do run a Redding 2400 when really drunk.

That 2400 looks well made. I like the collet set up. I will check out the Lee too.

Have been happily using the Wilson for a few years. Great little trimmer.

Sinclair has the Wilson "Ultimate Stainless Trimmer" Looks like nice quality with a mic. But I don't know if I'd like the collet set up..

For volume type of reloading RCBS powered one however they call it. It works great with the lee trim and gauges for every caliber attached to it. For precision I use foster. Soon will give a try to the foster 3 way for volume too.

I have only had one, the RCBS, that I drive through their drill attachment. No issues so I don't seeing changing.

I own the Sinclair/Wilson Ultimate case trimmer and would not trade it for anything else I have seen or tried.
With that micrometer on there you just dial in whatever case length you want and have at it. The cases will be trimmed to the length you set EVERY TIME.
The "Q" type pistol case holders are a little tedious to use, but they do work well.
One case holder will work for a family of cartridges so you don't need too many.
I highly recommend this trimmer.

I've tried a lot of different trimmers and the one I keep using is the cheap ass Lee Trimmer. Gotta say, they are butt simple and they flat out work. Lee gets my vote.

I have the Lee trimmer and the Wilson trimmer. I normally affix the Wilson trimmer in a vice on my reloading bench, and it is much quicker than the Lee.
The Lee works, though, and it's cheap. It's just not very user friendly.

Since I don't have a Wilson I'll have to take your word on it but I can't see how it'd be quicker to use than the Lee since you have to place each case in their respective caseholders. With the Lee you put it in the lockstud and with the Wilson you put the whole case in the cylindrical caseholder. Spin the Lee lockstud with a cordless drill and it is a really fast way to trim with zero setup time involved.
