they don't have kin or friends or neighbors that are gay? I can't. Marriage to me has always meant the partnership of a heterosexual couple for the procreation of the human species based on both religious and secular contract. From that belief of purpose I always viewed a monogamous homosexual couple to have just a relationship. With that in mind should a heterosexual couple that have no desire to procreate be viewed as having a relationship at most and be denied the right of partnership in marriage? I just find it difficult to allow a same sex couple whether for sex or convenience to have their partnership called a marriage. All this is beyond my pay grade anyway.

Nope. Relatives, former neighbors and a dear ex-girlfriend who all remain quite close. The rest is beyond my pay grade too.

Don't know, don't care. But in my mind, marriage was created as a way to keep track of who the parents of a baby was, to prevent inbreeding. Without a lineage trace the whole human race could have went to Hell, early. miles

The Bible may say it's a sin, but the Bible also tells me to love the sinner. It is not my place to decide what God has set aside as his.

I think I do,...why don't I know for sure?...cause its not any of my business enough to want or need to find out.
I run in one social circle that seems to have an above average number of gay folks. To be honest I have yet to meet(and no thats NOT meat) any that aren't genuinley good and good hearted people. But to me that in itself is seperate to marriage issue.
As far as I'm concerned marriage itself is and has always been a religiuos based covenant recognised between a man and a women. No amount of legislation will ever change that. If gays want a civil union then let the government recognise that civil union with full legislated benifts and rights under the law if they want to.

They are my friends. They don't try to "turn me gay", so why should I try to "turn them straight"?

Travis Another gem of wisdom from Travis. I have known several kids who are now grown and declared themselves gay or lesbian. My wife and I refer to them as our friends and by name. They are the ones who differentiate between gay and straight friends. As a Christian I do not condone the lifestyle but I still love our friends.
