I have just been advised by my neuro-surgeon that I have to give up rifle shooting due to neck fusion. I am not going to give up shooting or hunting, so I will have to switch to a handgun. I hunt deer and an occasional hog, and so I will not need a large bore handgun. I have settled on either the 357 or 375 maximum cartridges. If anyone has one to trade I will exchange photos on request.

I'm not into Remingtons, but would recommend a Ruger Blackhawk for good power and accuracy without further trauma. Happy hunting.

JH, if I can get an offer of $600 for the rifle and vintage weaver 4x32, with tapered post and crosshair I will sell it if the interested replies don't pan out. The rifle is in great shape with a mint bore.

I'm holding off for a 357 or 375 maximum for the time being, but I may get back to you if the offer I have falls through.
I really appreciate your offer, thank you very much.

I'm hoping for a longer barrel, but what caliber is your M-28?

I'm hoping for a longer barrel, but what caliber is your M-28? A Model 28 with a 6" barrel is a fine hunting handgun. The N frame model 28 will handle the hottest loads that you can throw at it and still keep ticking..Ask the M-28 owner what dash his model 28 is and if your not interested then I might be.

The .270 is the greatest hunting catridge ever designed. To dispute this fact is to only justify our loonieism in owning and hunting with inferior cartridges.
